The Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster LL League post season for the fall 2025 season is officially under way as the Girls Tennis Team Tournament Preliminaries were contested today.
Following a new format that seeded teams based on record and District 3 Power Ranking, Section 2 Champion Conestoga Valley traveled to Section 1 Runner-up Hempfield. Hempfield prevailed 4-1. Match winners were:
- 1 Singles: Jade Flores, CV, 6-2, 6-2
- 2 Singles: Kiana Nguyen, Hempfield, 6-3, 2-6, 6-1
- 3 Singles: Rose Wendel, Hempfield, 6-0, 6-0
- 1 Doubles: Rose Durrett and Sylvia Stewart, Hempfield, 6-1, 6-1
- 2 Double: Anna Mott, Reshma Lalani, Hempfield, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4
In the other preliminary match, Section 3 Champion Lancaster Caster Catholic hosted Section 3 Runner Up Lancaster Country Day. Lancaster Catholic finished with a 3-0 victory. Winning matches for the Crusaders were:
- 2 Singles: Jane Brubaker, 6-1, 6-3
- 1 Doubles: Paityn Gerz and Emma Keogh, 6-2, 7-5
- 2 Doubles: Catherine Bishop and Katy Ganse, 6-3, 6-2
Hempfield moves on to face Section 1 Champion Manheim Township. Lancaster Catholic travels to Section 2 Champion Elizabethtown. Both semifinal matches are Monday, September 29th at 4 p.m.
