The 2022-2023 Winter Sports Season kicks off today! Best of luck to all of the LL athletes that will compete this winter.
Noteworthy this winter: Eleven LL schools have approved Girls Wrestling as a sport. Girls Wrestling was granted Emerging Sport status last year by the PIAA and the number of sanctioned programs across the state continues to grow. While there is no formal adoption of Girls Wrestling by the LL at this time, keep an eye on the Boys Wrestling schedule for these schools. When they meet head to head in dual meet competition you will likely see some girls bouts (and if numbers and match ups allow, maybe even a girls dual meet!)
